100 kW

Wind power of superior quality

The 100 kW wind turbine is designed for medium-scale power generation, ideal for commercial, industrial, or small community applications. With a total high below 50m, the building permit is simplified in some countries such as Sweden. In the range of medium size wind turbine, the 100 kW dual blades turbine proposed by Innoventum is a high performing turbine. Designed and manufactured in Italy by ESPE. Perfect for supplementing grid power or operating independently in off-grid scenarios, this turbine will largely decrease your yearly energy bill and reduce your power limitation especially in winter when the cost of energy is high.

Maximum Savings – Cut Costs, Boost Profits, Own Your Energy

Simplified design for greater reliability and easy maintenance

The ESPE FX series 100 kW wind turbine is engineered for exceptional performance and safety. These turbines start operating at wind speeds as low as 2.8 m/s. At 9.5 m/s, the blades achieve nominal power, maintaining consistent output up to 25 m/s, thanks to an advanced aerospace-inspired design.

When wind speeds exceed 25 m/s, the turbine transitions into a safety position within just 5 seconds. This is achieved through braking systems with preloaded elastic energy storage, ensuring maximum safety even in extreme weather conditions.

2 Blades Benefit

Cost Savings

  • By having 2 blades and not 3, your material impact CO2 is less and therefore less material means lowest cost for you. Additionally, the transport become cheaper for 2 blades turbine.

Easier Installation & Maintenance

  • Since they are lighter, installation and maintenance can be simplified and cheaper.

Best performance = highest efficiency

Every single component undergoes strict mechanical testing in our workshop to ensure design objective conformity. Once assembled, all wind turbines are controlled according to an articulate monitoring process. After manual pre-testing and automated testing, we power the turbines and subject them to increasingly stressful tests. Finally, we proceed with another evaluation, verifying mechanical component integrity as well as active and passive safety component endurance. Every system must prove its capacity to work at its best even in adverse and discontinuous weather conditions.

ESPE design, assemble and test every single component of our wind turbines. All the solutions dedicated to small wind power come from our factory in Grantorto, near Padua. We are firmly convinced that only an in-house production may offer the technical guarantees necessary to satisfy every specific need. The ability to design components allows us to realize wind turbines able to deal with diverse environmental working conditions in the best way, taking full advantage of the potential energy performances our technologies provide.

Certifications

ISO 9001 certification. Our high-quality production system has been granted ISO 9001:2015 certification by GCL International.

UNI EN ISO 14001 certification. Our productive process is designed to guarantee high sustainability standards and maximum attention to the environmental impact of each activity.

European Directives Conformity. Our technologies are in conformity with the European directives 2006/95/CE (LVD), 2004/108/CE (EMC) and 2006/42/CE. European Standards. The solutions realized within our laboratories conform to European standards CEI EN 61400, CEI EN 62305, UNI EN 14122

More Energy for Less Space

For limited space, you should prioritise energy density meaning that you get more clean production per square meter.

  • Solar: A 100 kW solar system typically requires 500 to 1,000 m² of space, and would produce in South Sweden around 100 000 kWh per year depending on panel efficiency and installation type (rooftop or ground-mounted).
  • Wind: The 100 kW wind turbine only needs 5 m² foot print (tower base diameter 2,5 m) and can produce 400 000 kWh per year with a site at 6,5 m/s, considering that the surrounding area must be free of obstructions to avoid turbulence. However, land around the turbine can still be used for agriculture or other purposes.

RECYCLABILITY?

Wind turbines are largely recyclable (steel, copper, concrete), whereas recycling solar panels remains a challenge due to chemical components and glass.

Our Medium Wind Turbine Reduce Impact on the Electrical Grid

  • Our wind turbine provides a more consistent output, while solar is highly intermittent (no production at night and large variations due to clouds), therefore the combinaison of wind and solar make a perfect sense.
  • This can reduce the high cost on batteries or storage systems for effective self-consumption BESS.
