DALI POWERTOWER

Dali PowerTower A wooden wind turbine with solar and wind energy installed on a wooden tower

The Dali PowerTower is a hybrid power plant designed to maximize efficiency in local energy production. A wooden wind turbine. The wind turbine and solar panels are installed on a design- and patent-protected 12-meter Dali XII wooden tower.

The Dali PowerTower is an excellent choice for a wide range of applications. The turbine can supply renewable electricity to summer cottages, single-family homes, lighting, or other electrical equipment. The system can be connected to the grid or used off-grid with a battery to replace a diesel generator, for example.

Generator & Turbine Blades

The turbine on the Dali PowerTower features a permanent magnet generator that limits the rotational speed to 250 rpm. The lower speed extends the turbine’s service life and reduces noise levels. Power generation begins at low wind speeds of 3 m/s and maintains high capacity even in very strong winds. The turbine blades are equipped with a passive centrifugal system that optimizes the blade angle, thereby enabling continued power generation at wind speeds where competing turbines must be shut down.

The blades are manufactured using RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) technology based on polyester material reinforced with glass fiber. The result is lightweight components with higher mechanical strength. By using manufacturing methods based on the most advanced technologies employed in large-scale wind turbines, the blades’ weight can be reduced by half, thereby extending the turbine’s service life.

Corrosion-resistant turbine with a watertight design

The turbine’s gaskets are watertight, and the metal components are surface-treated to ensure maximum weather protection and corrosion resistance. Our wooden towers perform exceptionally well in coastal areas because wood does not corrode in high-humidity conditions.

Solar modularity

The number of modules and the orientation angle can be adjusted to meet any energy requirements. Between 6 and 16 modules can be installed on the tower, with or without ground screw foundation additional ground screw foundation.

Certification of the Wind Turbine

The wind turbine is certified under all leading certification schemes(which qualifies the turbine for all existing incentives and financial support):Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) in the UKAWEA Certification in the USClass NK Certification in Japan

Strength & Performance

Dali Performance wooden wind turbines are built to last over 25 years in harsh conditions, such as marine environments or locations with particularly strong winds. The wind turbine can generate energy in wind gusts of up to 60 m/s (Class 1 according to the international standard IEC 61400-2), which is classified as hurricane-force winds. The well-built and robust design allows the turbine to handle the mechanical stresses caused by sustained and strong winds found in specific locations with average wind speeds of up to 9 m/s. Energy production varies depending on the installation site; for example, 7,800 kWh/year at an average wind speed of 6 m/s + 2,000 kWh/year from solar energy (installed in Sweden).
