Dali PowerTower

A hybrid system that combines solar and wind power

The Dali PowerTower is an integrated energy system that combines small-scale wind power and solar panels in a single structure.

By generating electricity from both wind and solar power, energy production becomes more stable and consistent throughout the day and year. When the sun isn’t shining, the wind takes over—and vice versa. Traditionally, wind and solar systems are installed separately. The Dali PowerTower combines these technologies into a single structure.

This results in:

• Efficient land use
• Shorter installation distances between systems
• Option for shared electrical integration
• Improved overall energy balance throughout the year

PowerTower is designed for buildings and businesses that want to increase their self-generation and reduce their reliance on the power grid through a compact, space-efficient hybrid system.

Technical Overview

1. Wind: Bornay 5 kW

At the top of the tower sits the legendary Bornay turbine. Designed for high efficiency at low speeds, it supplies “base load” power to your home or business.

Rated power: 5.0 kW

2. Solar panels: Integrated system

Strategically mounted on the tower structure, the solar panels are angled to capture maximum sunlight while being positioned high enough to avoid shading from ground level.

3. The Tower: Glulam structure

Our glulam tower is the only structure capable of withstanding the combined load from both a wind turbine and a solar panel array while maintaining a carbon-negative footprint.

– Vibration damping: The wood absorbs vibrations from the turbine and prevents them from affecting the solar panel mounting equipment.
– Aesthetic appeal: An impressive combination of high-tech glass, carbon fiber, and natural Nordic wood.
