The frame is made of glulam, and the roof consists of the solar panels themselves. Annual electricity production for a south-facing installation in southern Sweden: 1,000 kWh/kWp without bifacial gain; 1,000 kWh is enough for approximately 5,000 km in an electric car.
The installation price depends on the location; you'll receive a fixed price after we see a photo of your driveway or after a site visit.
Delivery time: approximately 10–12 weeks. All models are also available as kits for self-assembly.
Tax Credit for Solar Panels on a Carport
When a company installs solar panels, a battery, and a charging station, you can receive a tax credit directly on the invoice: 15% for the solar panels and 50% for the battery and charging station, on labor and materials. The cap is 50,000 SEK per person per year (Swedish Tax Agency). For the carport, the 15% applies to the solar panels and the inverter, including labor, but not to the glulam frame. Example: If solar panels and an inverter, including installation, cost 100,000 SEK, the tax credit will be 15,000 SEK. If you add a battery and a charging station, you’ll receive a 50% tax credit on those items. The tax credit applies only when a company performs the installation; it does not apply if you install the system yourself using a kit.

Do I need a building permit for a carport with solar panels? It depends on the size of the carport and the zoning plan for your area. We’ll prepare drawings and calculations for the building permit or notification, so the application process is simple.
Can I install the carport myself? Yes, all models are available as kits. Electrical work must always be performed by a licensed electrician. Keep in mind that the tax credit for green technology applies only when a company performs the installation.
How much does installation cost? It depends on the location: soil conditions, the distance to the electrical panel, and whether you choose a charging station and a battery. Send a photo of your driveway or schedule a site visit, and we’ll give you a fixed price.
How long is the delivery time? Approximately 10–12 weeks from the date of order.
Can the carport withstand snow? Yes. The structure is designed to withstand the snow and wind loads in your area, in accordance with Eurocode.
Can I charge my electric car directly with solar power? Yes. With a charging station connected to the solar system, the car is charged with its own electricity when the sun is shining, and with the battery even in the evening.
Does it work during a power outage? With a battery and backup power function, important parts of the house can continue to operate. Without a battery, the solar panels shut down during a power outage for safety reasons.
Am I eligible for a tax credit? Yes, when a business installs solar panels, a battery, and a charging station. It does not apply if you install the system yourself using a kit. See the section above.
