EV CHARGER

Integrated infrastructure for electric vehicles

Innoventum’s electric vehicle charging technology is designed to integrate directly with our solar-powered carports and hybrid renewable energy systems. By combining on-site solar power generation, intelligent energy management, battery storage, and state-of-the-art EV chargers, we create highly efficient charging ecosystems for homes, workplaces, and public infrastructure.

Charging vehicles at the production site eliminates transmission losses, reduces reliance on the grid, and increases the value of locally generated electricity.

Renewable energy generation, storage, and charging in a single location transform passive parking infrastructure into active climate infrastructure.

Fast charger

Fast chargers have a power output ranging from 11 kW to 22 kW AC and are the most common choice for homes, workplaces, and public facilities.

An 11 kW charger can fully charge most electric cars in 4–5 hours.
A 22 kW charger can reduce charging time to about 2 hours.
Fast chargers are the preferred solution for our two-car carports and for private use, as they can directly harness on-site solar energy during the day while providing reliable charging capacity.

Fast charger

Fast chargers use direct current (DC) and typically operate at 50 kW, allowing most electric vehicles to be charged to 80% in about 40–50 minutes. These chargers are usually found at gas stations and shopping centers, where quick charging times are essential.

Ultra-fast chargers

Ultra-fast chargers deliver up to 400 kW of direct current, allowing electric vehicles to be charged to 80% in as little as 15 minutes. Although they are less common, they are increasingly being used along highways and major transportation routes. These systems are best suited for high-capacity grids or hybrid energy systems.

Home EV Charging

Charging electric cars at home is as easy as charging your phone. Just park your electric cars under the solar-powered carport and plug them in when you get home, and your vehicle will be charged with clean solar energy—if available from the grid—overnight, ready to drive in the morning. If you have a dynamic pricing plan with your electricity provider, the AI software will determine the best time to charge your electric cars to take advantage of lower energy costs. This seamless routine fits naturally into your daily life and eliminates the need for detours to public charging stations. It’s a smarter and more convenient way to power your mobility—a combination of practicality, comfort, and sustainability.

Charging electric vehicles at work and in public places

EV chargers installed at workplaces, retail locations, and public parking lots typically operate at 22 kW, providing about100 km of range per hour. When combined with a solar carport, these chargers reduce reliance on the grid and lower operational energy costs while offering tangible sustainability benefits. Retailers, offices, and commercial developments are increasingly adopting EV charging to support customers and employees.

Type 2 charging connector

MOST COMMON: Type 2 chargers are the standard in the UK and Europe and support power outputs ranging from 7 kW to 22 kW. They offer a good balance between charging speed and availability and are the preferred option for solar-integrated EV charging systems.

CCS Type 2 stands for “Combined Charging System”—“combined” because it builds on the slow-charging Type 2 connector. It adds two additional DC conductors, which can then carry a higher voltage than the standard connector.

Type 1 chargers use a standard 230 V AC power supply and deliver approximately 2.3 kW, providing a range of about 13–16 km per hour. They are suitable for infrequent use or overnight charging but have limited charging speed (phase-out product)

Things to consider when making a choice

  • Vehicle compatibility
  • Daily driving and charging needs
  • Available electrical capacity
  • Desired charging speed
  • Future scalability
  • Protection from the elements

HOME OWNERS, we’ve selected the following options for you: SIGenergy technology for 11 kW and 22 kW AC, or the new 25 kW DC (which enables V2H technology).

This new technology is designed for the future and can deliver 25 kW of bidirectional charging, positioning it as the smart energy hub between electric vehicles, solar power generated by the carport, and the home. Its advanced DC-coupled design allows vehicles to charge directly from solar power via a PV2 EV bridge—maximizing efficiency and driving truly sustainable mobility.
