In this post, we’ll take a closer look at what it means to invest in a carport with solar panels. We’ll discuss the cost of a carport with solar panels, as well as the value it provides for you and the community around you.
The electric vehicle market is growing rapidly
What kind of car would you buy the next time it’s time to get a new one? These days, in the vast majority of cases, the answer is an electric car. Environmental awareness and reports of the climate crisis are driving the electric vehicle market forward at a rapid pace. Savvy and informed consumers are increasingly seeking out green alternatives, and the electric car is a smart choice. The question, however, is whether simply driving an electric car is enough to be—or become—a true environmental hero. What about charging, for example? How can you charge your car in a green and efficient way every day?
InnoVentum offers a smart and stylish solution for anyone who wants clean energy for their electric vehicle(s): the Solar Carport. It’s a beautifully designed carport with integrated solar panels on the roof. State-of-the-art technology delivers safe, cost-effective energy in a complete and timeless all-in-one solution. Easy to purchase online, sustainable, stylish, and right on trend!

What is a solar panel carport?
InnoVentum’s Solar Carport is robust yet graceful in its design, and its structure blends seamlessly into both suburban and urban settings. It is aesthetically pleasing and designed to allow vehicles to be easily maneuvered when parking.
For vehicle owners, it serves two important functions.
It offers protection in all types of climates. InnoVentum has installed Solar Carports in various climate zones around the world, and this robust carport withstands all types of weather and environments. It can withstand hurricane-force winds and seismic activity, and comes in two versions designed for snow loads: a standard version that withstands snow loads of less than 200 kg/m² and an Arctic version that withstands more than 200 kg/m². For locations with high humidity, an additional layer of corrugated metal sheeting made from recycled mild steel can be added.
Self-generated and green energy
The Solar Carport charges electric vehicles cost-effectively using its own green energy. It is designed with 24 roof-mounted solar panels for two vehicles, but the structure is easily scalable. Multiple units can be combined to accommodate a significantly larger number of vehicles, and its height can also be customized as needed. InnoVentum offers panels with power ratings ranging from 245 to 327 Wp and can easily design solutions that meet the energy needs of each individual customer. The panels are available in several different models, and both the panels and the inverters come from manufacturers using the most advanced technology on the market.
The carport has both on-grid and off-grid connections and an annual electricity production of 8,500 kWh (example based on two electric cars). The rated power of 24 PV panels at 335 Wp is 8,040 Wp.
Any excess energy can be fed into the household or another property, or sold to an external buyer.
The frame is available in pine, spruce, or exclusive larch, and InnoVentum uses exclusively wood grown in sustainably managed forests that absorb carbon dioxide more efficiently than forests that grow without management. Fast-growing young trees sequester more carbon dioxide than older trees, which eventually die, decay, and release the sequestered carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere, thereby increasing the greenhouse effect. Carbon dioxide sequestered in wood that is used wisely and for the long term will remain sequestered in the finished wood product throughout its entire lifespan. Every cubic meter of wood in the carport has absorbed and sequestered a full two metric tons of carbon dioxide, as this is stored in the cellulose as the tree grows.

Carport with Solar Panels vs. Rooftop Solar
Rooftop solar systems on the market provide energy, but the aesthetic aspect is often overlooked. InnoVentum’s Solar Carport offers a complete, all-in-one solution thanks to the perfectly integrated solar panels on the roof of the beautifully designed wooden structure. It harnesses the sun’s energy without compromising the carport’s appearance. Functionality and aesthetics in one.
